Considering our final product’s genre was
psychological horror, our target audience for our opening sequence was 15+, as young people are open minded and they enjoy a bit of suspense in a film; this audience comes under the D category of the demographics. Therefore, in order to attract our audience, we made use of the Gratifications theory.

Also, we have created a pilot questionnaire, which we handed out to different age people to find out what they would like to see in a psychological horror. Their answers were then reflected in our final product.

Once again, because young people are the ones who seem to enjoy this genre, we have used modern clothing and gadgets such as a phone and a laptop to make our audience feel more engaged and attracted to our sequence.
