Question 4: Who would be the audience for your media product?

The target audience for our Horror production would be people aged in their mid-teens to their late twenties, this is the mass audience however we believe that it is suitable as a target audience because it fits the audience which have spare money to spend on films and the cinema. We would like to think that our target audience is good for our film as the certificate we targeted our film at was 15 this is to attract the largest possible audience while still using the common horror conventions. The target audience for our production will be both males and females. This helped us attract the largest audience possible to make our films production successful and viewed by a mass audience.

During our research we had to look at 2 different films to compare and take inspiration we looked at the Evil Dead and 28 days later this allowed us to look at their target audience and use that to influence our decision in what our target audience could be.

This is our first inspiration which is the Evil Dead, as this allowed us to examine their target audience and use it to influence our decision for our target audience.

Our second inspiration was 28 days later we also used this as it is a similar ideological themes as the evil dead and we wanted to replicate these as this would encourage the target audience to watch the film.

We think that the main aim for our production was to use our knowledge of our target audience to really attract the production towards the target market as we have aimed our film at the correct target market. We have set out to aim our production towards the mass audience based on the research we had looked at from the Evil Dead and 28 Days Later. This helped us make a better production overall.
